Virginia P. Dawson, the president and co-founder of History Enterprises,
earned a Ph.D. in History of Science and Technology from Case Western
Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1997 she incorporated the company
with Mark D. Bowles, who is also a graduate of the program at Case. Dawson
and Bowles co-authored several books and the script for a video documentary
of the life of Frances Payne Bolton entitled Reaching
Out for Liberty and Light. Dr. Dawson is also an adjunct associate professor in the History
Department at Case.
In addition to two AIAA manuscript awards, and two awards for the Frances
Payne Bolton video, in 2003 History Enterprises won a Weatherhead
100 award as one of Northeast Ohio’s fastest growing start-ups.  |
